The 2024 Outlander has a four-cylinder DOHC 2.5-liter MIVEC engine. The engine has a displacement of 2,488 cc, horsepower of 181 at 6,000 RPM, and 181 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM. This robust engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission.

Suspension and Fuel Economy

The newest Outlander’s multi-link rear suspension includes a stabilizer bar, as does its MacPherson strut front suspension. The SUV’s city fuel economy is 24 MPG while its highway fuel economy is 31 MPG.

Brakes and Tires

Each Outlander model is equipped with a four-wheel antilock brake system (ABS) with four channels and four sensors. The ABS also includes an Electronic Brake-Force Distribution system and a Brake Assist. The base model Outlander ES has 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in size P235/60 R18 tires.

Seating and Layout

All 2024 Outlanders have seating for seven people inside their cozy cabins. The SUV’s premium cabin has two seats in the front, a 40/20/20 connected bench that can seat three people when its center armrest/cupholder is pushed up, and a two-person bench in the back.

Cabin Conveniences

The Outlander features a six-speaker audio system and a seven-inch Multi-Information Display screen that shows you vehicle-relevant information such as your trip meters and odometer. Each Outlander also comes with a Smartphone-Link Display Audio screen. The base model’s screen is eight inches while the rest of the Outlander trims upgrade to a nine-inch screen with an included Navigation System. The Outlander also includes Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth®, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a push-button start with the remote keyless entry system, and steering wheel-mounted voice recognition control buttons. Each Outlander has Mitsubishi Connect Safeguard/Remote Services capabilities.

Onboard Safety

The Outlander has an abundance of helpful stability programs to keep your SUV’s control in your hands. The Active Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and Trailer Stability Assist programs all work together to ensure a controlled ride no matter the driving conditions. Every Outlander features a myriad of top safety features to help with your peace of mind behind the wheel. Just a few of our favorite 2024 Outlander safety features include the Blind Spot Warning’s supplemental Lane Change Assist program, the Driver Attention Alert, and the Forward Collision Mitigation’s additional Pedestrian Detection capabilities. The 2024 Outlander’s effortless style pays homage to past Outlanders while trailblazing a new path toward driving prowess.
